StarTools is a new type of image processing application for astrophotography that tracks signal and noise propagation as you process.
By tracking signal and noise evolution during processing, it lets you effortlessly accomplish hitherto "impossible" feats. These include anisotropic(!) deconvolution of a heavily processed image, or pin-point accurate noise reduction without subjective local supports or masks.
Detail, color and narrowband accents, are treated as separately controllable entities throughout a unified workflow. Final signal compositing is delayed until it is convenient and optimal.
StarTools keeps a detailed log of what modules and parameters you used.
The Heal module was created to provide a means of substituting unwanted pixels in an neutral way.
Getting to grips with new software can be daunting, but StarTools was designed to make this as painless as possible.
You can convert everything you see to a format you find convenient. Give it a try!
